Around the 'Net

What's your bagel order?  I must have found this on a UK site because I'd never heard of a cacklebean egg (it's an egg known for its rich, flavorful yolk and firm, creamy texture.  They are produced by heritage breed hens that are free to roam and forage in the countryside, resulting in a superior quality product).  Also, air-dried ham looks like prosciutto and rocket is arugula.

Our favorite is what we call Yorgo's after a bageldashery (love that term!) that we used to frequent in Norfolk, Virginia.  Lightly toasted bagels, chive and onion cream cheese, capers, smoked salmon, and thinly sliced red onion.  Delicious!

  1. Some fancy options here!! Love it :). I make bagel sammies at home a lot. I hardly ever order them when we're out because I love the ones that I make at home! I slather cream cream on mine after I've toasted it and usually have a cooked egg with a good bit of cheese cooked in with the egg and then I add some red pepper flakes.

  2. I've never heard of a cacklebean egg and I am from the UK. Those eggs do sound delicious! I am not a big fan of bagels and if I was to have one it would probably be a basic cream cheese one.
