Welcome to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Here are this week's questions, which you should answer on your own blog and then pop over to Joyce's blog (click on the graphic for the link) Wednesday to add your link to the party.
1. Are you a risk taker? To what degree?2. What's your favorite candy? Would you say you have a sweet tooth?
Godiva or Lindt and anything British that I grew up with. Yes, I definitely have a sweet tooth.
3. Somewhere you've been recently that had you feeling 'like a kid in a candy store'?
Home Goods. I could buy enough dinnerware and table setting pieces to entertain into the next millennium. It's so tempting just to walk in the door!
4. What do you think is the most effective way to make a positive change in the world?
Show caring and compassion. Right now, food banks are a priority for many so if you can, add extra items to your grocery list and drop them off.
5. Do you like surprises?
Yes. Vic was working in Charleston when he was on his first ship, and it was in dry dock. I was in Jacksonville, Florida with Sophia and was totally surprised to go over to our friends' house and have Vic open the door! Our friends helped him pull off the surprise. It was so nice to have him home for the weekend.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

I have such a sweet tooth too! I have heard European chocolates are so much better than ours. I love Lindt truffles the most. I think you are definitely more adventurous than I am!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great surprise memory! I love your photos of British candy! So many are at World Market!
ReplyDeleteThe risk of going to Guam sure paid off nicely, didn't it :). Your surprise story is really neat! What fun! So true about food pantries right now. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Jetting off to Guam sounds like quite the adventure!
ReplyDeleteYum to the all the chocolate, they're my favourites. I'd take a Turkish Delight right now.
What a lovely surprise for Vic to be there when you went to your friends!
I always struggle coming up with a random thought.
I often struggle with the random thought. I try to jot things in the notes app on my phone if they come up because I know I'll forget otherwise. I love your surprise story! I'm a fan of the British candies too. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour move to Guam was a big deal. I hope it turned out well. Yes, compassion is so important. I will check into our local food bank. I help with churches monthly food give away.
ReplyDeleteYou really are a risk taker. I would not have been able to move 100 miles away all by myself. I really think it would be neat to have a little risk taking abilities though. The Random Thoughts get me every time. It's like my brain just fogs up. And..some of my random thoughts can really be way out there...
ReplyDeleteMoving to Guam was definitely brave! One time Michael surprised us by coming home for Christmas earlier than expected from being offshore. He walked in dressed like Santa and surprised us all, including me.
