Word of the Year

This year's word is Explore.  This is our third time to be stationed in Virginia and there is an awful lot still on our bucket list.  I very much doubt that we will be back here again so now's the time to check off some of the boxes on that list.  Stay tuned as we travel along the highways and byways of the Old Dominion State.

Word of the Year

I've been inspired by several blog posts recently to come up with a Word of the Year.  This post, over at Angel Jem's City Cottage, was really lovely.  Truly there are many things to celebrate.  My Word of the Year is inspired by the desire to celebrate financial independence (retirement may not be just around the corner, but it's peeking out) so I've chosen Thrift.  No spending unless it is essential, moderation when spending is called for (gifts, etc.), and a use it up, wear it out, make it do philosophy.
