Christmas Swap in July Details

Swap details have been released - it's an Artist Trading Coins Swap.  I've never heard of this before - it looks interesting and fun but I'm going to pass this year as I don't have a lot of the supplies on hand.  Definitely keeping it in mind for my December Daily album.  Let me know if you plan to participate and I'll watch for your reveal post.

Check out the details here - Artist Trading Coins Swap.

Nail Polish Swap Reveal

I love swaps so I was really excited to see this Spring Nail Polish Swap pop up over at The Other Side of the Road.  My partner was the lovely Joanne from Our Unschooling Journey Through Life; she and I exchanged emails to talk about our nail care preferences and I got to work putting together a package for her.  You can read all about it here.

Joanne put together a fabulous package for me - there's a pale pink nail polish, toe separators, a file, an emery board, a buffer, nail polish remover pads (great stocking stuffer idea for teens and girlfriends), cuticle cream (I always need this), a lovely card, and surprise, surprise, a Godiva Milk Chocolate Bliss bar which was absolutely divine.

Thank you, Joanne, for the brilliant package of goodies.

3rd Annual Christmas City Swap - Reveal II

I shared the package that I received from my swap partner, but I completely forgot to post the package I sent.  My swap partner sent me a lovely e-mail to say that the package arrived safely and that she was delighted with the contents.

I sent a little bit of the Pacific Northwest, a combination of Kitsap Peninsula and Olympic Peninsula goodies.  There was an autographed copy of Debbie Macomber's new book, Mr. Miracle, along with an envelope of some of Debbie's favorite recipes (Port Orchard), a bar of Lavender soap (Hansville), a Seattle Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Truffle Bar (Seattle Chocolates), a star ornament decorated in the Norwegian rosemaling design (Poulsbo), and a handmade card with a threaded gold design (Port Orchard).

I love this swap and I hope Allison at BE UP & doing will continue it for years to come.

3rd Annual Christmas City Swap - Reveal

I sent off my entry for the 3rd Annual Christmas City Swap hosted by Allison over at be up & doing and received this lovely package of goodies from Whitney.  She included a card saying that she had read my blog and could see how much I loved England hence the contents of the package - the January 2015 issue of Britain magazine (one of my favorites!) and a two-pack of England-themed journals.  I have a special purpose for these journals which cannot be revealed until after Christmas so stay tuned.  I will say that I had been looking at these exact same journals at my local bookstore, what a coincidence.  Thank you, Whitney, I love my package!  Please check out Whitney's page, Whitney Elizabeth Green, she's an amazing multi-platform, visual media producer and graciously offered to talk to Sophia should she have any journalism questions.

I'll post the details of my Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas package that's on its way to Michigan as soon as I know that it has been received.  Don't want to give away the surprise in case the recipient is reading my blog!

Christmas City Swap Reveal

You may remember this post in November about the Christmas City Swap hosted by Allison at be up & doing.  My package arrived today!  My Santa (can't call her my swap partner because swap assignments were random so my package went to someone else) was Melissa from On Board the Gravy Train and its contents were from Brooklyn, New York.

There was a bag of Butter & SCOTCH Dark & Stormy Caramel Corn (Dark Rum) and two candles (Christmas Tree and Lavender scents) from Brooklyn Candle Studio.  What a lovely package - something sweet (always a big hit!) and candles in two of my favorite scents.  Also tucked inside was the lovely card that you can see in the photo above.  I can't wait to read Melissa's adventures on her blog.

My package is scheduled to be delivered to the recipient tomorrow but I think I can give you a sneak peak.

My package is from Virginia - I tried to find items specific to Norfolk but had to go a little farther afield.  There's a copy of Coastal Virginia (formerly Hampton Roads) Magazine, a mermaid ornament, a Peanut Crunch Bar and a package of Whole Cashews from the Peanut Shop of Williamsburg, along with a map and program guide from Colonial Williamsburg, and two Shore Seasonings mixes - Garlic Herb and Chesapeake Bay.  The Shore Seasonings mixes are from Melfa, Virginia which is right up the coast on the Eastern Shore.  I've also included a card that I made with a Virginia postcard.

I love swaps and this one was really fun.  I'm looking forward to Allison's post featuring a collage of all the swap packages.
