Hello everyone! Vic is home, a lot was accomplished around the house, and we flew to and I returned from Maryland where he is now settled. I returned to work after a month out of the office last Monday, taking a week to get myself organized before returning to blogging.
Then August 26, 2021 happened and it seems frivolous to put up a chatty missive about all we did. So, I'll wait another week. I was going to say I'll wait another week until things calm down but for thirteen families, things will never be the same again.
There are no words. God bless our military and their families.
Amen! I watched the tarmac transfer yesterday. My heart was broken with sorrow yet filled with pride and gratitude for the service of these young men and women.
ReplyDeleteMy heart just breaks for those families. It seems like each day brings more bad news from that part of the world. I just keep thinking it didn't have to turn out like this. You're right - there are no words. And the age of those servicemen and women just hits me in the gut - so young.
ReplyDeleteThere truly are no words. My heart breaks for these families, for our nation, and for so much of the world right now.
ReplyDeleteTruly heartbreaking. It has been difficult to pick myself up lately with everything going on in the world, the US, and right here in Texas. This weekend I took a break from all news...hope I don't have any big unpleasant surprises when I listen to news on the way to work tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back!
