If this is Tueday, it must be England #187

Have you tried any of these?  The only one I have not tried is the Sussex Pond Pudding although I saw it prepared on The Great British Baking Show.  It's a suet pudding with a whole lemon baked inside.  The description says it makes a lovely lemony surprise but I'm not so sure about that.  Sounds a bit odd, a whole lemon inside?

  1. That would be a huge lemon surprise! I have tried several of these, with the clotted cream scones being my favorite.

  3. I have only had the sticky toffee pudding. I have to say, I was a little disappointed in it. I've had scones before but never with clotted cream. Many of these look really good!

    1. Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. It's so delicious if it's made properly. Clotted cream and strawberry jam are a must for scones, so decadent and only for special occasions because the cream is so rich.

  4. It's the same for me, the only one I haven't tried is the Sussex Pond Pudding. A whole lemon inside does sound odd. I love Kendal mint cake, treacle tart with custard and Eton Mess. Yum!

    1. Vic's favorite is a tie between treacle tart and scones and I love sticky toffee pudding.

  5. The Sussex Pond Pudding in that illustration doesn't look thick enough to contain a whole lemon. :)

  6. Whew….a whole lemon. 🍋 I don’t know… I think I would be surprised! I would love to try some in that line up though!
