Life Last Week (16-22 March 2026)

The weather for the week ahead:::

On my reading pile:::

Finished this one - quite a twist and turn toward the end, a great read.

On my TV:::

The Pitt on Thursdays followed by Outlander on Fridays

Couldn't resist - thanks to PBS Passport, I binged my way through the first season.  It was interesting and different.  I think Just Watch Film on Facebook summed it up perfectly - it isn't just an update; it's a complete transformation.

Checked off the list:::
  • VA appointment for Vic meant grabbing lunch at Le Panier, our favorite French bakery, in Seattle.  It really is a good thing that we are there so infrequently.
Espresso Eclairs - divine
  • We also had a quick browse in Sur la Table and picked up a glass citrus juicer.  Vic's still got a war on plastic, and our old one was plastic.
  • Picked up lamb shepherd's pie from a local restaurant and some Irish soda bread for our St. Patrick's Day celebration.  Everything was delicious.  We also worked out way through three Irish-themed movies on Hallmark+ over the 16th, 17th, and 18th of March.  They can't even get through the opening credits before we both have the same thought - we need to move to Ireland lol!
  • Video call with Jodie - is it too early to talk about December Daily?  Never!
  • Took Malone to the vet for his vaccinations and I got a haircut.
  • Vic crawled up in the attic to check where we had a leak, and all is well.  His roof repair took care of the problem.
Crafts roundup:::

Started the London album - title page complete!

And in other news:::

Looking forward to an overnight getaway and that's about it.

  1. Your weather is looking a lot like mine this week. I want it to warm up a little more so I can get out into the garden and enjoy it.
    Oh wow! Those Espresso Eclairs look good!

  2. I started watching the Forsytes and it just didn't grab me. Maybe I'll give it another try later. I should go back and watch the earlier series.

    1. I kept comparing it to the 2002 series - Damian Lewis and Gina McKee were really superb as Soames and Irene.
