It's time for another Happy Homemaker Monday with Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Click here if you'd like to join in .
The weather:::
I think we have every icon in the forecast for this week - cloudy, windy, partly cloudy, rainy, and sunny.
On my reading pile:::
Picked up the latest issue of Tea Time Magazine as a treat to myself while Vic is gone this week. It's on top of the unchanged pile from last week.
On my TV:::
Mercy Street, Victoria, and the Great British Baking Show Masterclasses now that I've finished Seasons 1 through 3. Vic and I finished Season One of Outlander and watched the first episode of Season Two. It's now on hold until he gets back.
On the menu for this week:::
Monday through Thursday - Some combination of the leftovers from the fridge since it's just me
Friday - Korean-Style Short Ribs, Oven Roasted Cabbage and Potatoes
Saturday - Nigella's Chicken and Sausage Bake, Carrots
Sunday - Steak, Baked Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts
On my to-do list:::
- Finishing up the office today
- Ladies Lunch at church on Tuesday followed by a trip to the pharmacy and Costco
- Haircut
- Volunteer shift at the gift shop
- Pick up Vic at the airport
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Wilton Class 2 of 4 - leveling, torting (cutting into horizontal layers), frosting, leaves, flowers, and pattern transfer.
I'm not too crazy about the anchor - the gel comes out of the piping bag very quickly and ends up making a line that's too thick - definitely need to work on tightening up this skill |
Bathrooms, vacuum upstairs.
Happy Early Birthday to me from my darling daughter!
Something fun to share:::
Love this pan - I'm thinking it would be great for fried rice, or pancit, or paella.
What I'm wearing today:::
Jeans, turquoise long-sleeved shirt, Dansko clogs.Bible Verse, Devotional:::
A loyal friend is like a safe shelter; find one and you have found a treasure. (Unknown)
We have been recording Victoria and this weekend we sat down and watched every episode including last night's. We are really loving this show!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fabulous? I see there is a companion book to the series as well, I'm thinking that might be something fun to read. I bought the new Tea Time magazine and there is an event coming up called "Afternoon Tea with Queen Victoria" - there will be a speaker on Queen Victoria's early life, her ascent to the throne, Price Albert, and her children. I would really consider driving the 200+ miles for something like that but unfortunately, it's on a weekday! I'll bet the tea is going to be delicious too!
DeleteThe leaves on your cake look very nice! I would like to see Victoria but will probably wait until it comes to Netflix or something like that. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI love the British (& American) Bake Off shows! And I hope to catch up on Victoria one of these days. But I'm really excited for Outlander to come back this Spring! I've LOVED that show and watched it faithfully each season so far.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great new pan too! Blessings on your week ahead Pamela. xoxo
The Wilton class looks like it would be a fun one to take. Your cake is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat pan looks nifty! And the coloring book looks like it will be so much fun! Happy early Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteYour weather answer had me cracking up. and your menu has my mouth watering especially the Korean style ribs. I have always wanted to take one of those cake decorating classes but don't because I'm one of those people who loves cake with no frosting unless its chocolate. there is usually a plain spice Bundt cake on our table. I like your pan I want ALL the Lodge pots and pans lol and I know its silly but I like to get mine from Cracker Barrel but usually find other places for a lot less money. Hope you are enjoying your week.
