Have you ever used a non-traditional wrapping paper? There are lots of options: cartoon section of the newspaper, wallpaper, sheet music, maps, and Vic's favorite:
I have used comics, pages from old books, grocery bags, and butcher paper. I try to change my gift wrap up every few years just to keep my family interested! haha
I've used fabric (but I tell them they have to give the wrapping back!) and a blanket/quilt with the corners gathered at the top and tied shut with wide ribbon for really large items.
wouldn't have thought of the Home depot flyers! that would be perfect for my husband too :)

ReplyDeleteMy mil uses the Sunday comics, but I would have never thought of using home improvement flyers. Great idea!

ReplyDeleteI have used comics (my standard wrapping for kids birthdays and the bow from comics too), and I do use fat quarters or such for sewers gifts.
