Bookcases? That's an interesting decorating idea. I've never used my bookcases as a decorating area since they are chockful of books but taking some out and putting them away in a box for the month of December, adding some interesting bookends, and other decorative touches would make a lovely display.
I decorate my bookcases. I read several years ago that bookcases should always have "empty" spaces to use for decor and I liked that idea. When they're not decorated for a holiday or a season, I decorate them with neutral decor and family photos.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bookcase, but I do put my Santa collection in my corner armoire. My mom has a full wall bookcase and it is filled with Christmas!
