My son made us some this past spring/summer and oh they are delicious! But seeing the prices for a single one in the store definitely causes sticker shock.
Just wanted to say I am so happy that you posted this graphic. I had taken a screen shot of it when I first saw it here to share with a friend. And then when I took my purchased macarons to share at our Sunday family dinner and my college-age granddaughter said someone had told her she was pronouncing macaron wrong, I pulled out my phone with this graphic on it and was able to show her that they were two different things! And when she asked who's that dude, I said why that is Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, of course! :)
I'm so glad you cleared that up! Funny fact: macarons are not my favorite. I think it's the texture? But I love how cute they always are!

ReplyDeleteCoincidentally, I purchased macarons at Trader Joe's today. I've had the bakery kind and hated them, but the TJ's were much more to my taste!
