It's the first Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for Currently. Here's what we're loving, looking forward to, doing to be romantic, changing, and celebrating. Grab the graphic if you like and tell us what you're doing currently by linking up over at Overflowing with Thankfulness.
loving// February décor. Here's my tiered server - this photo was taken in the old kitchen, I need to snap a new one. February is a busy month for us - Sophia's birthday, Valentine's Day, my birthday, and our anniversary. The tiered server includes the white bell and doves that were on our wedding cake.
Talk of Valentine's Day always make me think back to our first Valentine's Day together, 12 days before we got married. I was having a photo taken to give to Vic and he was flying off to a neighboring island to work for a few days. I merged the photos together to come up with this:
looking forward to// At the risk of boring you to tears mentioning it again, I'm looking forward to the scrapbook retreat coming up in the middle of the month. I have my supplies packed, just need to add personal items and food.
doing to be romantic// We don't really have any plans for Valentine's Day. We will be three weeks into The Marriage Course at our church which can be considered romance. Each session starts with a catered dinner and then we watch the series videos, pausing after each segment to discuss the topics and answer questions. We have been laughing a lot and I think laughter is a form of romance, it shows we're having a good time together and that's super important.
changing// The guest room into Sophia's bedroom as she's coming home at the end of March. She's got some plans and some savings would go a long way to turning those plans into a reality so she's giving up her apartment and heading home. She already has a job and found a new home for Ginger, her horse, and I can't wait for her to be home. It will be a change for all of us, but a good one.
celebrating// See "loving" above. Two birthdays, one anniversary, and Valentine's Day. There will no doubt be some special meals and desserts although I haven't finalized anything yet.
Your tray is so cute! I am just awful at decorating those and have given up but still admire everyone else's. How exciting to have your daughter moving back home!
ReplyDeleteI love how your merged the photos together, and the picture of Sophia too. Lots to celebrate this month!
ReplyDeleteI like the tray you decorated for Valentine's Day. It looks like a lot of celebrations this month and enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteHow neat that Sophie is coming home! You must be so excited... we offered for our son to come and live with us after college to save money. It would be a long work commute for him and he declined but he appreciated the offer! Your scrapbooking retreat sounds really cool- I hope that you get a lot done while you´re there. Love the blended picture that you made Vic. Have a great Thursday!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun things to celebrate! And exciting that Sophie is coming home. Enjoy the changes...and all the celebrations!
ReplyDeleteI love your Valentine's tray!
