Fridays are for Christmas food. What do you eat for Christmas breakfast? When I was younger, we always had a Sara Lee Coffee Cake. When Sophia was little, we had cinnamon streusel topped muffins because those were her favorites. Now we stop at a local bakery on Christmas Eve and pick up a few goodies to enjoy with our coffee in the morning.
Here are some international sweet breads that you might enjoy on Christmas morning. You can find the recipes here.
Yum! When my kids were little, I made them cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. This is something they still look forward to each Christmas morning. Sophia´s favorite sounds good, too!

ReplyDeleteOh, what a fun idea for a Christmas in July post! Over the years we have had various treats for Christmas breakfast. A cranberry coffeecake is one of my favorites. Recipe is here: https://mychristmaskitchen.blogspot.com/2016/12/thinking-ahead-to-christmas-breakfast.html. We've also enjoyed cinnamon rolls and other goodies over the years. Now as empty nesters we do intermittent fasting, so have only coffee at breakfast.
ReplyDeleteWe always have some sort of pastries on Christmas day morning. Pain au chocolat or brioche. We do always get Panettone and Stollen to enjoy over the festive period too. Yum, yum!
ReplyDeleteWe usually eat leftover sandwiches from Christmas Eve which we toast in a pan with butter and some yogourt , granola and fruits in a wineglass to make it special
