Anything by Enid Blyton. My favorites were the boarding school tales from Malory Towers and St. Clare's. Oh, how I wanted to have a tuck box and go to a midnight feast.
Closely behind Malory Towers and St. Clare's were the adventure stories of the Famous Five.
My favourite Enid Blyton's were the Mystery series, I loved those but also enjoyed Malory Towers.
