New Year Fun: 2014 in Review

Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom always has a great post up every January, New Year Fun: 2014 in Review.

Post the first sentence of your first blog post of each month. You can also add a favorite picture from each month.

Happy New Year!

Outside my window...rain and there's plenty more coming.

February is our big birthday and anniversary month

Here we go - throw it away, sell it or donate it, the goal is to get rid of excess stuff.

March Minimalism Game

I wish I had thought to pop everything on the scale daily - would have been interesting to the impact on our Household Goods Weight Allowance!

It's a big night tonight - the event put on by Hampton Roads CORE, Continuum of Resources and Education, a group I work with that provides continuing education (workshops and conferences) for spouses to meet the unique challenges of a military lifestyle.

Outside my window...ugh, 80+ degree temperatures all week - Virginia summer.

Car Shopping

I've been really terrible about updating over the last month so the catching up begins now!

Bastille Days in Ghent, Norfolk

I'll be back on Tuesday with all the details of our journey from Virginia to Washington but today we're off to take a campus tour of Western Washington University.

It was a great day at Western.

Outside my window...It's dark because it's 5:45am.

A shot on the descent from Hurricane Ridge.

It's been ages since I posted - I've been in a real blog funk lately but as I was surfing through my favorite blogs, I found this post to jump-start my return to blogging.

Administrative Assistant to the General Manager - silk dress now instead of a T-shirt with a slogan - this was my birthday in 1991.

It's that time of year - Be Up & Doing launched the 3rd Annual Christmas City Swap.  I did this last year and it was great fun.  Check it out here.

I sent off my entry for the 3rd Annual Christmas City Swap hosted by Allison over at be up & doing and received this lovely package of goodies from Whitney.
