If this is Tuesday, it must be England #46 - the Christmas in July edition

What could be most English Christmas in July than Rosehill Cottage from The Holiday?

It's almost time to think about Christmas cakes - my family makes them about three months before Christmas to give them a really good soaking (see #5 in the recipe).  Here's the Queen of Baking Mary Berry's recipe.  Next week, I'll feature some lovely decorating ideas.

  2. Such a cute cottage. I wonder if they filmed the interior shots in that home? It was very cozy.

    1. They probably recreated the rooms on a set - have to make room for all that camera equipment.
