Up Country

I was doing a little Christmas shopping last night and wanted to share this wonderful company with those of you with furry members of your family.  In 2010, Sophia's 4-H club went on a field trip to Up Country, a small, independent business in Rhode Island that makes the most amazing accessories for your pet.

Located just outside Providence, Up Country offers high quality dog collars, dog leads, dog harnesses, cat collars, cat harness and leash sets, and other pet products with style.  They manufacture their ribbon pet collars, leashes, harnesses, pet beds, toys, and many other of their products in the East Providence factory, all handmade and hand sewn with love.

Up Country has also donated over 500 sets of collars and leashes to newly adopted dogs from the Rhode Island SPCA, which is located right next door to their factory. The dogs come to Up Country straight from the shelter, and they fit them with the collars that their new adoptive parents choose. It’s Up Country's way of saying thanks for adopting and sending the new adoptees off to their new lives in style.
