Christmas in July - Day Thirteen

We moved from Illinois to Virginia next (2003-2007) where Vic served aboard USS KAUFFMAN (FFG 54) and was out to sea for a lot of the time we were there.  We did manage to squeeze in some family field trips in our local area, but today's ornaments are to commemorate the wonderful friends I met through the homeschool group we joined.  We visited a local bakery, Rowena's, for a field trip behind the scenes in September 2006 and then visited agin to enjoy a holiday afternoon tea in December 2006.  Two of my favorites, good friends and afternoon tea.  Sadly, Rowena's tearoom has closed but her pound cakes are still available online here.

I bought this tea set from Rowena's and Vic super glued an alligator clip to the bottom so I can anchor it onto a branch.

I had these three ladies personalized to commemorate our visit and gave one to Kelly and one to Jodie.
