Christmas in July - Day Twenty

 

After Rhode Island, we moved back to Virginia, and I began to volunteer at the officers' spouses' association's gift shop.  I had not even known that it existed until I went to lunch with one of my neighbors and she suggested we stop by.  It was a beautiful shop, we had such amazing buyers, and the merchandise was really lovely.  My favorite ornament from this time in Virginia (2012-2014) is this one from Heart Gifts by Teresa specially designed for our shop.

I love the way the mermaid's tail is made up of stars.  I bought two of these ornaments as we still had a few moves left in Vic's Navy career but fortunately, both stayed intact through our travels.
